Welcome back to school everyone!

I know it’s been quite some time since you’ve heard from us here in LGBTQ Studies, but we’re back! Just in time for some fantastic events!

First off:

On September 26th, at 12:15pm, we will be hosting our first workshop of the year: Trans* 101. Location TBA.

Second:

We’re starting an online zine! In this, various members of the queer community on campus (queer identified or allies) can submit any art they have relating to their gender and sexuality: poetry, short stories, art – however you express yourself. We already have many people interested, and we’d love to hear from anyone else willing to participate!

I look forward to seeing you all around campus!

Out on the Quad! May 7th, 2013

Out on the Quad! May 7th, 2013

Over the course of the past year, Brooklyn College has made huge strides towards making our campus a safe, affirming, welcoming home for LGBTQ identified students. While there is still much to be done, the enormous accomplishments of the LGBTQ community on campus this year deserved a celebration by the students and for the students!
Many thanks to Jen MacGregor in Brooklyn College Admissions for some of these pictures!
